Tarpon and permit have been the big action this month. Perhaps the best permit fishing I have ever seen is happening this Summer. If you have ever wanted to catch a trophy permit, get on board. We are boating 8-12 pounds every trip. These fish fight so hard on the 8 -10 pound test light tackle we use- you won't believe it!

 Expect 15 - 20 minutes to land one. They can run faster than you or I can, times two.

On the same trip, we can catch barracuda, characterized by wild leaps and sizzling runs on light line. Pure sport and averaging around 3 feet, getting to 5 feet sometimes,he is the salt water muskie. Imagine him on 12 pound test!
The season is shaping up to be great!
